With the start of the F1 season this weekend, motor sport really kicks off for us as the Easykart season is about to start too!
The first race is a long haul all the way to Norfolk; it’s going to be a long drive! Last time the drive took us nearly 6 hours. Although we usually camp for the races on site, this is the only race that we stay at a hotel at because the weather is very cold earlier in the year here in England.
The new junior kart is very fast and as great cornering ability. It grips very well through the high speed corners. Now I find it even harder to watch Bailey on track and the kart has more set-up options to understand.
The track for round 2 this year is Ellough Park, it's a cracker and last year out Bailey had one of his better runs. Last year during practice was a bit of a nightmare for me having to change a bent axle very quickly and the first time is always the hardest! Both Bailey and I are very excited for the new season that lies ahead but this year is really just learning the new kart so we can give ourselves a better shot for race wins next season.
